STRIPING OPERATIONS - Nacogdoches
Nighttime striping operations will begin Sunday, May 10, in Nacogdoches on BU 59, FM 2259, SH 7, and SH 21. Lane closures will be necessary. Remember to stay alert, and to move over and slow down when traveling near road workers.

New bridge, who dis? Van Zandt County has two new bridges in service over I-20. The FM 17 bridge opened recently and the FM 47 bridge opened this week. Crews are still working on portions of the project, but the major work is done. #BeSafeDriveSmart

FM 2251 (Sayers Street) between Loop 287 and BU 69 (Kurth Drive) will close to thru traffic on Thursday, July 10, while TxDOT crews replace a culvert.

Crews are drilling and performing geotechnical operations through next Thursday on US 259 near CR 915 in Nacogdoches County. Motorists should prepare for delays through the area. Lane closures are expected.

ALERT: The northbound SH 7 exit at the intersection of SL 224 and SH 7 will be closed beginning Thursday, March 13, for the installation drainage across the exit ramp. The closure is expected to last a week. Choose alternate routes and obey all traffic control.

ALERT: Beginning Monday and continuing through Thursday, the railroad crossing on Raguet Street in Lufkin will be closed as A&NR crews replace the crossing surface. There will be detours in place. Reduce speed and obey all traffic control.

ALERT: Prepare for slow traffic on US 59 in southbound lanes near SL 224 in Nacogdoches Tuesday morning at about 8:30 am as crews assist with traffic control as an oversized load is moved.

Heads up Cherokee County: Due to water running onto the road, there IS ice on SH 84 near the US 69 intersection in Rusk. Our crews are treating the area. Keep an eye out and watch your speed.

US 59 NIGHT WORK: San Jacinto County - Intermittent southbound and northbound lane closures tonight and Thursday night at FM 2914/Stringtown Road, Red Road, and Sherwood Drive from 9-9:30 pm each night for utility crews to move power lines. Reduce speed and prepare for delays.

US 59 North: Crews will work to mill and inlay northbound lanes from the Angelina River Bridge moving northward beginning Wednesday morning through Thursday in Nacogdoches County. Traffic will be reduced to one lane. Reduce speed and prepare for delays. Obey all traffic control.
