This is a complex problem, not just about pay. It’s about respect for our knowledge and skills - with many hospitals prioritising getting patients out of hospital rather than giving them therapy, many therapists are discharge planners - which is not why we trained as therapists
I know I’m totally biased but what an incredible profession we have in Respiratory Medicine. The most kindest and compassionate people I know…and across primary, secondary, community, third sector and OF COURSE our patients and carers
