Love my job after 25 years in Qld rural schools. I strive to make teaching and learning more engaging. The pay off? Lives full of choices instead chance.
@fuckyouiquit Having not applied for a job in 30 years (recovering long time teacher), I am stunned at how many job descriptions omit the salary part. WTF is with that? It’s called work because we get paid. Pay peanuts, get monkeys.
@modernclassproj I am so honoured to be presenting the modern classroom model to special education leaders. This model is all levels of #UDL and my students love the extra time we get together in class. Thank you MCP team for your continued support during my journey.
Some powerful messages to reflect upon at the #PDPitStop. So worth a 1am wake up. I have so much to think about, I will never get back to sleep. A big shout out of thanks to all the contributors!
@SelenaCarrion So very well summarised! You have succinctly expressed every frustration I have in teaching and why I am excited about the countdown to retirement after 28 years of teaching.
@QLDEducation Great if we have some spare GPs floating about. In my community it can take more than a week to get an appointment. I guess we aren’t going to be one of the 50 lucky schools.
@NicholasFerroni LOL my students ask me why I say my directions so many times amd write them on the board, until someone in the class puts up a hand and asks, what are we doing? Collective eye rolls all round. Apparently I’m not always heard, go figure?
@Kareemfarah23 Too bad if a life event interrupts that progression and content can’t be condensed. That assessment item and date cannot change. Doesn’t flexibility go in hand with differentiation?
Just earned my Collaborating and Communicating to Transform Learning Environments with Microsoft Teams on the Microsoft Educator Center! You can check out free PD courses too.

@MsHNewman@JayWamsted Yes! 🤣 I recall having to ask students at the end of computer lessons to turn over the mice to check their balls. Was a pretty good laugh for all of us.
