'Our Wild Woodlands' project , made possible thanks to Creative Ireland and Kerry County Council Arts is flying. Our booklet will be back to back with short stories, poetry, and illustrations to highlight the importance of our native woodlands. @CreativeIreland@KerryCounty
The spell of fine weather lends itself to big numbers of winged beasts. This fine Four Spotted Chaser fancied a lie down to absorb some heat. These guys are aggressively territorial and there were some impressive aerial duels by a little pond.
Spotted this baddie developing along a treeline, Old Man's Beard or Traveller's Joy (Clematis vitalba). This species is similar to Ivy or Bindweed but is a non-native invasive species.
