To me the ruins of the Osbourne View in Hill Head look like an anguished face. Residents are devastated at the loss of this historic pub. The cause of this morning’s fire is not yet known. My report on @itvmeridian at six
I lost my legs because of the event 22 years ago today 9/11 (11 September 2001). The Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre in New York was hit by 2 x hijacked aeroplanes.
The al-Qaeda was behind this attack. They planned and executed based in Afghanistan. This is why NATO troops were sent to Afghanistan to eliminate al-Qaeda and later tried to restore law and order. I was one of the soldier among them who was sent in Afghanistan in 2010.
Many lost their lives, some lost their love ones and many are suffering aftermath of these events not just in Americans and Afghans but many people around the world. I escaped the civil war in Nepal and joined another war in another country.
I believe that there should be ‘No War’ in the world. We all have our differences, we have different faith, culture, tradition, value, language, flag, history and interest but we shouldn’t choose violent way to solve our differences. We should choose “Peaceful Way.
Any kind of war doesn’t do any good to anyone apart from few individuals. Many lose their live , some lose their love ones, many disabled and suffer rest of their lives. I believe that we should solve our differences in diplomatic and peaceful way.
I wouldn’t have achieved what I have achieved today without loosing my legs but I would have chosen peace over success if I had a choice.
We should learn from these events and not repeat again. One thing, I would like to do is promote ‘Peace’ in the world through adventures and send a clear message to world leaders that we should solve our differences in peaceful way, so world leaders think twice and see option to choose peaceful way before they send us to war. It may work or not but at least I can try my bit. I will do everything I can to make the world a better place.
My 3 future agendas;
1. Awareness of Disability
2. Awareness of Climate Change
3. The World Peace
I urge the world leaders to choose a peaceful way to resolve your differences for humanity and future generations.
No one deserves suffering.
