What a privilege to be a beginner. What a privilege to have the space to try, learn and grow. The world has made it seem like you need to arrive perfect, finished, and an expert in everything, and it's stopped so many from trying or being seen trying. Embrace the cringe!
Can we platform more therapists so that people can stop using the term “Men/Women” when expressing ideas that come from that one/woman who hurt them? Too many projectors are outside thinking their hurt can pass as advice - only wisdom has any pull.
Tom Holland sharing a quote that said “if you have a problem with me, text me, and if you don’t have my number, you don’t know me well enough to have a problem with me” really stuck with me
Ey… the universe dictates that to show up as yourself you must pay trigger tax. If everyone likes you or what you say you’re a performer or still wearing a mask in order to be accepted. None of us was designed for mass consumption, if you have balls let whoever is mad stay mad…
I think every woman hits that season where she's not angry anymore, just aware. You see people clearly. You move differently. You don't explain.. you just shift. That's maturity mixed with grace.
I think one of the most heartfelt experiences in life is discovering that someone genuinely enjoys your presence. Not what you provide, Not your accomplishments. Just you, your thoughts, your energy, your existence.
I have read the chats, I have read the comments and this is my take.
Why date someone you do not like? The only reason you are ignoring him is because you are an AVOIDANT and he is ANXIOUSLY ATTACHED.
It is so obvious he “burns for you” and he doesn’t want to sleep upset nor does he want issues to linger but you don’t care.
If you love someone, even if you guys are at loggerheads, you’d pick their calls and hear what they have to say because you won’t even be comfortable.
I don’t know why you agreed to date him but it is obvious it may be out of pity and he clearly deserves better. He deserves someone that is also “anxiously attached” he deserves someone that won’t let issues linger, he deserves someone that craves and desires him and you are not that person. Two months in and you are already “overwhelmed”. Why not save him the misery and constant emotional torture by telling him you are no longer interested.
Love is easy when you both feel the exact same way for each other but it’s harder when the affection is one sided and in your case, the affection is one sided. SHALOM!
People who go silent when something upsets or hurts them, are often experiencing a coping skill called emotional withdrawal.
It's not that they have nothing to say, it's that their system learned silence is safer than being misunderstood. Rather than expressing anger or frustration, they carry it alone
