"Military Industrial Complex" about a republic that had no standing military for over a thousand years up until like two years before this game takes place, said by someone who is a CIS partisan
On 27th of September, 1942, the USS Hopkins, a Liberty ship crewed by the USS Merchant Marine, was intercepted by the German commerce raider Stier. Despite being massively out-gunned by the auxiliary cruiser, having only a single obsolete 4-inch gun, two 37mm AA guns and a few machine guns, the Hopkins offered battle and never struck her flag. Out of a crew of 57 men, only 15 would survive; drifting for a month in a lifeboat before making landfall in Brazil. The captain went down with his ship.
Due to her valiant stand, the commerce raider Stier was scuttled by her crew due to the extensive damage, ensuring she would never claim another allied ship as victim again.
So I just want to ask you, you jumped-up arrogant asswipe - exactly what is your point when you sneer that they are "not military?" Why, exactly, is that distinction so important to you? Because from where I stand I can't see much of one.
If we ever get a full rebellion fps. I hit and run attacks, I want asymmetric warfare, borderline terrorist attacks. I want to fight tooth and nail for every inch of land, I want to feel like actual underdogs going against an impossible force.
Disney is scared to DEATH that people would rather roleplay as the Empire instead of playing the "good guys."
Maybe if the Republic had ANY redeeming qualities our aura AT ALL, folks would give them a chance.
The only aura that the pubs have is the X-Wing, and thats it.
I mean, the Rebels / New Republic / etc. basically never had any "drip". The closest was probably the flight uniforms, and even those got desaturated and minimized by Disney.
And that's without the New Republic being the very sociopathic monsters they claimed the Empire was.
TFW you’re playing Umamasume in an Uber and you ask your driver if he likes Umas and he responds with “Inshallah brother the Umma shall have a great victory soon”
