The Guardian has published a story claiming the Trump administration is about to award $12 million to the Free Speech Union and a think tank co-founded by Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg. Trouble is, it’s not true. https://t.co/e2S30v9ndE
Similar to the panic over DeepSeek R1, some uneducated people think Kimi K3’s use of linear attention (KDA) is bad for NVIDIA, HBM, DRAM, and networking because it has relatively lower KV-cache requirements. The opposite is true, and we explain why below. 👇️ 1/8🧵
A reminder, Andy, of the Thatcher era:
• Income tax: 83% → 40%
• Basic rate: 33% → 25%
• Inflation: 21.9% peak (1980) → 2.4% (1986)
• Days lost to strikes: 29.5 million (1979) → 1.9 million (1990)
• Real pay for the average earner: up by a third
One human-rights claim. Eighteen relatives. A Home Office refusal overturned. This is how elected control over Britain’s borders is dismantled, one tribunal ruling at a time.
'I've been terrorised all my childhood by this man, and he's going to be back out in society?'
Carol Higgins, who was repeatedly raped by her father, received a letter saying he may be released early under the new Labour scheme. Myself and many across the country have received the same letter.
Get Labour out.
A future Restore Britain government would pursue the full development of our offshore oil and gas reserves, the rapid expansion of nuclear energy, the exploitation of onshore shale where viable, and if able to compete some limited role for renewables within a balanced grid.
Our overriding objective is to deliver power at prices affordable to British households and competitive for British industry.
Restoring Britain’s energy security will not be without transitional challenges, but the alternative is continued adherence to policies that have produced some of Europe’s highest energy prices.
A patriotic energy policy must place the interests of the British people first.
That is what a Restore Britain Government will deliver.
So building lots more council houses, rivalling the number built in the post-war era, should be the nation's top priority, says Andy Burnham.
Around 5m council houses were built post-war. To build that number today would cost about £1.3 trillion. If he borrowed £40bn to finance council house building, as he earlier suggested, then that would cover the construction of only 150,000 new council houses.
Britain's top economic problems are neither a shortage of council housing nor a shortage of public borrowing. Burnham's plans are pure fantasy.
His devolution plans are just as irrelevant. Transferring power from low-grade central politicians to even lower-grade regional or local politicians doesn't achieve anything, rather the reverse, as the Scottish & Welsh examples have shown.
"People need to be able to look forward to a holiday with the kids," he says, while supporting a new holiday tax that will make holidays unaffordable for some. Pure hypocrisy.
I am utterly horrified at the idea of Labour importing thousands and thousands more refugees - Sudan? Afghanistan? Somalia?
It is evil.
I am calling on both Reform and the Tories to match Restore Britain's commitment to deport anyone who arrives through this scheme.
We must make it abundantly clear that ANYONE who arrives on these routes will NOT stay.
That is the only way we can stop this now.
2029 is too late.
We need to end it NOW.
In yet another Orwellian move, the Government announced in a green paper this week that it wants to decide what news people can and cannot see, with plans to push approved outlets to the top of social media feeds.
Ministers should not be deciding which news sources the public read — especially in an era when three-quarters of under-25s say they get their news from social media.
As written in The Times, “In a state-sponsored regime in which inconvenient news was pushed out of view, would the grooming gangs scandal or the excesses of transgender ideology ever have come to light? You shouldn’t choose to trust everything you read online; but you shouldn’t trust the state to make the choice for you, either”.
This is dystopian.

The rest of us don't pay, you ignorant moron. People who send their kids to private school pay TWICE!
They pay for the private education of their kids AND the education of state school kids through existing taxation.
Of the 170 countries that have a VAT/GST system, only 5 charge it on education, none of which are in Europe or North America. 3 of those that do reimburse it for their own citizens. 43,000 childrens' education ruined to service your envy-driven spite and over 100 schools closed. You people are insufferably stupid.
@Sarahw9111@ShabanaMahmood
You’re not really serious about the ‘rape gangs’
this isn’t the only case ..
There are hundreds of these criminals being released early !
@UKLabour all talk 🗣️
5 of these men are my perpetrators that groomed and raped me from the age of 11 ….
It took an 10 year investigation with the NCA to finally get them to court and go to trial, all 5 was found guilty on all charges against me this was for the sexual assaults, rape and trafficking me around England.
They was found guilty in 2024 with sentencing ranging from 6 years to 25 years for the abuse they inflicted upon me.
The NCA said in their statement this was some of the most horrific and worse abuse they have investigated since the investigation started.
2 years later I’ve got a letter saying that their prison sentences could be cut by 33% and have early release!!!! How is that possible how can they do that to us survivors it’s like been let down all over again !!!
The Labour Party are happy to let some of the most dangerous monsters back on to our streets to further abuse more children!!!
I can’t make sense of it all that hard work and determination to get justice for it to be laughed at when in reality us survivors have the real sentence it’s a lifetime sentence and it’s not fair !!!
