Southdale 3rd graders showed what they had been working on in music class with the annual Southdale Square Dance. Students demonstrated various dances while being accompanied by live dance music provided by local Dayton area musicians. The adults even got in on the fun!
It has been a busy week of performances in the music department. This weekend we will host the Ohio Education Music Association Choir Adjudicated Event including performances from our own choir program.
Music Spirit Week Day 2. Today we asked our middle school music students to show off what they do besides music, and it was great to learn even more about the students that make up our program in Kettering. So many different activities represented!
The Kettering Middle School Orchestras sounded outstanding in their preparations for their upcoming concert this Thursday, 3/6. Mrs. Dennis and Ms. Bruno have done a great job in preparing these students!
Musicians from Fairmont visited residents at Birchwood Place Retirement Home and Indian Riffle Elementary on our 2025 department tour. Residents and students heard performances from Eleventh Hour, Symphony Orchestra, and Jazz Ensemble I.

The Kettering Fairmont Color Guards had an impressive first show at MEPA Northmont! Our JV Guard, featuring 27 performers in grades 6-10, competed against high school groups and placed 5th. Good luck to Varsity in Pittsburgh this weekend!

The Kettering Fairmont Varsity Guard presents their 2025 production, “The Violinist.” Throughout the season, the ensemble will compete in the Mid East Performance Association and Winter Guard International circuits.
