@walsha It's an issue only when a player asks for a trade and uses said clause to direct where. The agreement clause relates to no move/trade. If player breaches, he can't then use the clause to manipulate the trade, but you'd be the first calling that unfair, so it becomes an issue.

@Habs_Empire Roy has to go through waivers at the end of training camp if not kept in NHL. I don't think that runway has expired for Mesar yet.

The question becomes how much more would Dallas ask for from Habs?

CBJ - gives up TWO best players but add an excellent D, an NHL forward with high ceiling, an excellent prospect, 3 decent draft picks. Verdict - close to fair.
