@jvrz1887@JonahKarsh You seem like you’ve been a long time renter, which is great, but sometimes you have to put your feet in your landlords shoes and realize what they deal with.
@jvrz1887@JonahKarsh Javier, please don’t assume what would hurt me and not hurt me. You are looking at just one portion of it. Landlords are no longer able to take security deposits bc of how litigious it’s become and now move in fees get taken.
@jvrz1887@JonahKarsh Landlords will simply pass on the new registering fees to the tenant, and build the move-in fees and app fees into the rent. Just like they are doing with property taxes.
@BeeGault8@BSLFor25@ByronSigcho This mainly affects smaller landlords who don’t have some massive wealth and are being crushed by property taxes, insurance and utility hikes. I keep my units super reasonable for my tenants and barely raise rents on them.
