DTR 17 BSC sharpshooter Alec Elkins (5’11 2027 Lucy Beckham HS, SC) was a standout during session 1 and he’s back at it today. A lethal catch and shoot threat from deep with a quick release who also does a nice job using shot and pass fakes to freeze defenders ahead of the jumper or a string drive to the rim. He hits the step back jumper as well. Attacks space using his strong frame to finish against contact around the basket. Alex had a career best 47 points in an April game! He can shoot it! #BigShots #MyrtleBeachLiveOpen2 @BigShotsToday @BigShotsGlobal

@AlanStein: Do coaches 'play favorites'?

Absolutely!

They favor players that work hard, have a positive attitude and are great teammates.

@AlanStein: Player: Coach, is tomorrow's off-season workout mandatory?

Coach: No son, it isn't. But neither is... http://t.co/KCl2Gbp8uw

A good coach will tell you what you need to hear; not what you want to hear. So will a good friend.

The most consistent teams have experienced players that are invested in the program and understand the grind of the season.

I wanna know what that fan said to @smart_MS3 to get him upset.

Four ways to EARN more playing time:

1) Dive for loose balls
2) Talk on defense
3) Play with energy
4) Take charges”

When you ask a thoroughbred to work, it works. When you ask a donkey to work, it kicks. Be a racehorse, not a jackass.
