FRA has found NO significant environmental impact for the Braidwood double track project [Which aims to reduce travel times by 20+ minutes & increase capacity on the Amtrak Lincoln Service]
This allows the project to move along quickly & could get grant funding later this year!

Track Work on the Crescent Route
October 7
Train 19 will end in Atlanta, with bus service (3119) to New Orleans, stopping at all scheduled stops.
October 8
Train 20 will depart from Atlanta using Bus 3120 for transport back to New Orleans, also stopping at all scheduled stops.
California Zephyr Schedule Changes
Changes to the schedule will affect California Zephyr service on Friday, October 3.
Train 1005 will run instead of Train 5, leaving Chicago three hours later at 5:00 pm, on an adjusted schedule to Emeryville.
