@myronm Personally, I think the biggest thing for gravity sketch was learning how to approximate subd curvature. This was really my first venture into 3d modeling, and for anyone first getting into it, you have to learn to embrace how weird and wonky your first few pieces will look!
This was a cool illustration of how much #progress anyone could make with a little dedication. I started making #VRART in #gravitysketch in January of this year. The first picture is my first attempt at making a #charmander. The second picture is my most recent attempt.
@ewanrose_art@gravitysketch Exactly! It's as close to magic as I've ever felt, drawing ribbons in the air that I can join into objects and pushing and pulling vertexes to create nuanced shapes, it's like I can pull things straight from my imagination and make them tangible in a virtual space.
#3dmodeling in @gravitysketch has changed my life, and that's not hyperbole. Learning this new medium has been paramount to me changing the trajectory of my career path. I find myself practicing how to effectively make subD objects for fun now. #3dart#vrart#xr
@rabovitz It's so wild to me that Apple actually expects people to drop 3.5k on virtual reality when their market already knows what they want- magic leap for passthrough, meta quest or pico for value, valve index or htc vive for gaming. You can get one of each for that price point.
@gravitysketch I'm almost certainly getting this in October, finally having access to color passthrough AND better cpu and gpu performance! I can do SO MUCH COOL STUFF in gravity sketch with this
Had a lovely stream last night on #gravitysketch making #leafeon. I'm really proud and excited that I'm still making important discoveries to adjust my workflow and understand more about how subd objects interact. I'm still in love with #vrart and #3dmodeling
