I think a big problem with cities today is that they’ve lost their own architectural identity, and every new building looks the same. This stadium would look silly in Kansas City, but works perfectly within the context of DC.
Delaying the biggest accomplishment of your football life by half a decade for one month of winging it around the yard, talking shit with the boys & showing all these young coaches they don’t know it all just yet.
real hooper.
Alabama just jumped Notre Dame.
Last 4 games against FBS opponents:
Notre Dame:
• Beat 9-2 Navy by 39
• Beat #22 Pitt by 22
• Beat 3-9 Syracuse by 63
• Beat 4-8 Stanford by 28
Alabama:
• Beat 4-8 SC by 7
• Beat 7-5 LSU by 11
• Lost to OU at home
• Beat 5-7 Auburn by 7
After being ranked behind Notre Dame for the past two weeks while ND crushed everyone, Alabama’s 7-point victory over bowl-ineligible Auburn boosts them past the Irish.
Blatant rigging for a certain conference.
This just shouldn’t be possible. It is batshit insane that you can be leading a National Championship contending football team and then just dip out before the playoffs even start. Undermines the entire sport. As lame as it gets
The value in College Athletics is in regional pride and friendly tribalism. It's never been about the best players in the world (That's the NFL). This is what ESPN never understood.
You can't curry attention to schools that viewers don't have emotional ties to. If I live in Montana, I don't care that Texas Tech's $50 Million team is playing Oklahoma's $30 Million team. Nobody I work with went there. Nobody I'm seeing over the holidays went there. Neither are as good as the worst NFL team.
It's not interesting and it's not a viable financial model.
Deep seeded regional rivalries that split a family down the middle on Thanksgiving week? That's a game people are interested in.
Find someone who loves you the way AP voters absolutely adore Tennessee.
3 losses, lost to every ranked team they played, lost twice at home, best win is 5-4 Miss State in OT.
There’s one reason and one reason only they’re still ranked.
