โ๏ธO'Keefe v. Karen Readโ๏ธ
(Wrongful Death / Plymouth County, MA)
Judge Gildea assigns a deadline of 4:30PM on July 9th for counsel to come to an agreement on private personal information in discovery...otherwise, a ruling will be made by the Court.
It appears Karen Read's lawyers also submitted an "Emergency Motion to Clarify the Record"; however, it was not docketed given they were "not the proper use of a motion to clarify."
Join us, Thursday at 7PM ET, as we dive into Karen Read's 2023 interview with Gretchen Voss - an interview given before either trial, before testimony, forensic evidence, phone data, vehicle data, and witness accounts were laid out in open court.
Now that we know what the evidence actually showed, some of the claims made in that interview haven't aged particularly well. We will revisit the transcript, compare the narrative to what emerged during two trials and examine some of the biggest whoppers, exaggerations, and contradictions that were presented as "fact" long before the jury ever heard the evidence.
Because every fairy tale has its dragons, every fable has its moral and some stories simply don't survive contact with reality.

In her text messages to Aidan Kearney while writing his blogs in 2023, Karen Read was very specific about John being in the basement. There was no uncertainty, no "maybe," no "perhaps." She wasn't speculating - she was presenting a narrative with precise details, right down to claiming his death was the reason the basement carpet had been ripped up.
What amazes me is that after multiple pivots, we're still at the garage theory. Because, of course, when someone visits a house they've never been to before, the most natural thing in the world is to bypass the front door and head straight into the garage.
And yet people continue to defend every version of the story, no matter how many times it changes. Yesterday's CERTAINTY becomes today's discarded talking point, and the people who passionately argued for it simply move on to the next theory as if the previous one never existed.
It's not a position based on evidence - it's belief maintenance.
(Shoutout to "Data Decoder" Rachel for inspiring this tweet. Also, included is Aidan Kearney actually pushing back and making sense. Should have kept that same energy, Aidan.)
You don't say Billy Bush....Karen Read lawyer Alan Jackson spends big money on those who actively promote his narratives. Wonder who else received big fancy gifts?...Money talks and Alan Jackson "shows up arms a swinging."๐ค
