Great hire given the circumstances! Whitt has the experience, authority, and leadership to re-stabilize the program for a few years. He will also be very motivated, as Utah pushed him out. Now, the key is to hire talented, high-potential coordinators with one able to take over as head coach once he retires.

@goatcollect @ABC7 MLB needs absolute line of sight to authenticate. They have a system for milestone games, like Ohtani 50/50 HR ball. They place invisible pre-marked balls into play. If fan catches ball, MLB can still authenticate even if fan places in pocket. Non-milestone games would be hard.

@11Yanks The alternative plan would be to quickly pick top players through pre-Poch gameplay results and have those top players play together as much as possible to build cohesion. But Poch wants to see these players himself.

@Brodiesmith21 Thoughts on paradox of an easy tournament course and the high difficulty in winning such course. With score separation so small, winning requires no room for error, a tough feat. At the same time, an easy course results in less elite skill implementation and strategic diversity.
