Very sorry to hear of the passing of Dan Coulter, former MLA for Chilliwack. I respect those who choose the often difficult path of public service.
I hope his family takes some solace in the contribution he made while serving British Columbians.
Very sad to hear of John Horgan’s passing. While we were political opposites, I did enjoy my personal rapport with him. We enjoyed our legislative battles, but also our lighthearted jokes in the hallways. Our collective Irish heritage may have worked in our favour.
I extend my appreciation for his commitment to our province and extend our appreciation to Ellie and his family for the sacrifice I know they made.
Today I announced BC United's plan to unlock the potential of B.C.’s forestry sector, which will bring much needed stabilization and investment into our province and enable us to build a more prosperous future for all.
👷Securing jobs
✂️Slashing red tape
🪵Building with B.C. wood
Unacceptable. Our tax dollars should be focused on frontline staff like doctors & nurses, not padding the pockets of superfluous executives like NDP insider Jim Sinclair.
@voteBCUnited will slash the expensive layers of healthcare bureaucracy, including the +70 Health Authority Vice Presidents. #BCpoli
SCOOP: BC's health authority board directors made $1,400/day (and sometimes much more) after a massive pay hike approved by the provincial government last year. The province OK's a 72% increase in annual retainers and 44% boost to daily meeting fees.

Good weather, great food, and even better company - I had a blast at my Famous Beans and Jeans Family BBQ this weekend 🤠
From MLAs to candidates to members, it was amazing to see Team BC United out in full force to help us create a better BC, for all of us.
Thank you @IanPatonDelta for hosting this incredible event! 👏
Smoking meth in seniors care homes?!
This is what happens when the NDP's reckless decriminalization policies go unchecked.
Under David Eby's watch, dangerous drug use is now infiltrating our care facilities, putting vulnerable seniors and vital workers at risk. This insanity must stop.
BC United will restore sanity and safety to our communities and end David Eby's reckless decriminalization experiment, full stop. #BCpoli
After years of NDP neglect, it’s time to unlock BC’s natural resources sector potential.
Today, @TomShypitka and I announced BC United’s plan to do this and secure $36B in near-term investment + $11B in tax revenues. #BCpoli

Unleashing B.C.’s mining potential will help fund BC United’s bold commitment to eliminate income tax on the first $50,000 earned by all British Columbians.
Together, we can harness B.C.’s natural resources to build a stronger, more prosperous province for everyone. #BCpoli
The NDP ignoring our natural resources sector has created record-setting deficits.
BC United has a plan to unlock BC's potential. Today we're proud to announce our plan to secure $36B in near-term investment and $11B in tax revenues. #BCpoli

NEW - B.C. ended the 2023-24 fiscal year with a $5.035 billion deficit, $819 million higher than Budget 2023 due to increased emergency spending, lower natural-resource revenues, and increased health care, education and housing spending. #bcpoli
I'm deeply concerned about the impacts of this strike on our farmers, supply chains, transportation, and costs of living. There needs to be a quick resolution that respects workers and gets British Columbia's economy moving again. #BCpoli
As synagogues across this country and in our province are being targeted with bomb threats, I stand in support with the Jewish community and say no to hate.
We all need to stand against hate in our communities.
Staying silent allows hate to fester, so please speak out and report hate when you see it in our community.
I call on all British Columbians to support the Jewish Community in its fight against antisemitism.
My thoughts are with the Jewish community here in B.C. and across the country following reports that more than 100 synagogues and other Jewish institutions across Canada were targeted by bomb threats today.
Antisemitism has no place in our country. Our entire @BCUnitedCaucus stands with the Jewish community and unequivocally condemns these hateful threats and intimidation. #BCpoli
Healthcare is critical, and our communities deserve access to care.
Burns Lake emergency will be closed from 8AM today until 8AM tomorrow.
This is unacceptable and needs to be fixed. #BCPoli

Very sorry to hear of the passing of my old colleague, Dennis MacKay. Dennis was a highly principled MLA and represented Bulkley Valley-Stikine with great integrity. He was a key member of our BC Liberal government that helped get our province back on track. He also served for many years as an RCMP officer, keeping our communities safe. My thoughts are with his wife Edith and his children and grandchildren at this time. #BCpoli
My piece in @DailyHiveVan on our @voteBCUnited plan to implement the largest middle-class tax cut in B.C.'s history by eliminating provincial income tax on the first $50,000 earned by every British Columbian. #BCpoli

Just imagine if we could take these billions of dollars in overruns, unnecessarily wasted due to NDP mismanagement, plus the billions in cost overruns on all of the other projects they’ve bungled and apply them to tax relief in the middle of an affordability crisis.
Enough with reckless mismanagement and wasteful handouts to NDP insiders.
A @votebcunited government will scrap the NDP's costly community rip-off agreements and get back to respecting taxpayer dollars. #BCpoli
This alarming $2 billion overrun on the Surrey-Langley SkyTrain is just the latest in a string of massive cost overruns under the NDP. Projects like the Surrey, Burnaby, & Richmond Hospital expansions have each blown past their budgets by over $1.1 billion.
These spiraling costs are a direct result of David Eby and the NDP’s Community Ripoff Agreements, which funnel taxpayer dollars to the pockets of their hand-picked unions.
At a time when British Columbians are struggling with skyrocketing costs and an affordability crisis, the NDP’s reckless mismanagement of public funds and major infrastructure projects is not just deeply concerning — it’s a threat to funding for essentials like healthcare, housing, and education. #BCpoli

The cost of building the Surrey/Langley SkyTrain line is soaring. The project is now projected to cost $5.996 billion up from an estimated $3.12 billion in 2019. #bcpoli
Another debate cancelled because leaders are too afraid to defend their records and their policies.
This makes three debates cancelled, so far.
Don’t you think if someone wants to be Premier they should be willing to debate their plans for BC?
What say you? @Dave_Eby@JohnRustad4BC @SoniaFurstenau
