Beep beep, most of my backlist is now available on Smashwords, if you missed them. (https://t.co/jo4eYDr7je)
A couple are getting a facelift, but will be available soon.
Now that my depression has lifted, I'm also working on editing The Billionaire Slave. So watch for that!
@BookwormBlues LOL! This is the laugh I needed for today, thank you.
I'm trying to imagine the pain of editing in Scrivener and I'm just hearing 'Yakety Sax' for some reason...
I get not wanting to pay for Word, but that's why open source software exists. π
@Dewiwrites It seems like every other week there's some tabloid trying to smear shit on Billie Eilish, but she always comes out smelling like a rose.
Kanye's whole "deal" seems to be slinging feces at female artists for attention. I'm sure he and these tabloids get along famously.
@byMorganWright I was thinking about this very thing the other day.
I think readers get to live more life than non-readers. I can spend a few hours reading a good novel and feel like I've lived years and years of an entirely different life.
@superflippy@KMKrone_writes @AnaMardoll I think about this a lot. I'm consistently amazed at the difference between Millennials & Gen Z. We Millennials busted our asses working within the system & largely failed. Gen Z seems to have seen how that worked out for us, and now they're ready to burn it down.
@magencubed I bought this book with real money. Imagine my surprise when I found out the book was imaginary!
When people say that self published books aren't real, I just remind myself that if they don't know what words mean, their literary opinions are irrelevant.
@magencubed This has me so exhausted that I get writer's block over it.
A lot of people want to act like this is new, but moral gatekeeping of fiction never really went away. The only thing that changes is which morality becomes the "trendy" standard to use.
@olivia_lawless When I get worried about reviews, I like to find my favorite book on Amazon and read all the 1- and 2-star reviews. I quickly feel much better. lol
@sarahrnonson But even if someone just straight up gave you a car, the car maintenance, insurance, taxes, and gas add up fast, even for two trips a day.
@sarahrnonson Man, I've been sitting here trying to do bus algebra, and I don't know anymore. Where I used to live, you had to Uber if it was after 6pm or on the weekend, so maybe that's what they mean?
@TempestBonds13 Even if you don't act the fool to negative reviewers, it's still going to color how you write your next book. And your target audience for your next book is NOT the people who didn't like your last book! Those people are already long gone. lol
Break Me, I'm Yours, Episode 1, is available on Smashwords at the following link:

So far I'm finding the Smashwords process entirely superior to Amazon in most ways. Except for figuring out the title situation.
Welp, I've been prevaricating because I'm not sure the best way to do this, but here goes.
I'm going to start the re-release of BMIY the first week of December, at a pace of 2 episodes a week.
When the full backlist is out, we'll see if I can keep up that pace.
@WheelSpinnerO Confession time: When I was in college and people did this, I would lean my seat back and pretend to take a nap. They would quickly give up and move on. There were always enough people waiting for spots that the offender could never make it back in time to get the spot.
