@ive_arc I still one of my childhood books, it's from 1984 and it's spelled Berenstain. I had Berenstein in my head as well but my old book didn't confirm it. I was certain it was Berenstein too, but not so, at least in 84 it wasn't.
@MdBreathe We had 7 parent deaths in our K-8 school. One death was an accident. Others were all pretty sudden. A new family joined, so not in those figures, the wife died of cancer last spring and 13yr old has brain cancer. We are in what is called a blue zone. This is not normal.
The way the fire jumps from one area to another, completely destroying some areas, and skipping over others is mind boggling. Took me a while but I found a recent satellite image of the devastation. First observation, The Palisades Bowl Mobile Home Park, every unit destroyed.🧵
@krassenstein@realDonaldTrump Have people's electric bills decreased in cost because of these measures? I've only seen them rise and all the lightbulbs, appliances, etc are now "energy efficient". I think people are fed up with being told if you do this or do that, it'll benefit them but nothing ever pans out
My wife asked to see the credit card statement so she can figure out why we don’t have any money and I told her very sternly that she is a danger to democracy
@petergyang I use mine daily. Ideally first thing in the morning then a cold shower. Great for a silent 20min with no technology. Cleanses the mind and body. I got a 4 person barrel sauna from Costco. Took about 5hrs to assemble. Electrician to hook up 240V.
I live in LA. I helped with 2 evacuations last week.
Many friends lost homes and our school welcomed new students who lost every possession. I'm not making any assumptions or claims about how the fire started or progressed. I just can't grasp how a fire moves like this.

The fire continued north into Malibu, taking out most of the older homes along the water and many in the neighborhoods above. It stopped after taking out some of the smaller/older homes on Carbon Beach.
