Me sitting in Dawn Park, complaining about Janusz Walus' release from prison, knowing fully well that my parents benefited from the white exodus in Dawn Park back in 1993. They bought this house at a steal because after the chaos of Hani's funeral here in Dawn Park, white people were genuinely scared for their lives. Pearls clutched, they moved to Australia en masse. Many moved to nearby Sunward Park.
My parents couldn't reeeeally afford this house, but we were essentially homeless because we had run away from Katlehong where we had lived too close to an IFP filled hostel, and endured and witnessed too many atrocities committed by Mangosuthu Buthelezi's people.
Anyway. I digress.
