Adulting is learning to fit inside a box of roles and stories about who we’re supposed to be. Maybe that box is too small for my energy to fit in, maybe my energy is too much for the identity it’s boxed in, or maybe I’m too human for systems that prefer me robotic…
Maybe I’ll break the box and be as big as I was before anyone told me to shrink.
When you believe you deserve more than others, your ego isolates you from them.
When you believe you are entitled to nothing, everything you have falls above that so you become grateful.
Learning makes you feel dumb while you get smart. Excersize makes you feel weak while you get strong. Investing in yourself makes you feel broke while you get wealthy. Facing your fears makes you feel scared while you get brave.
Bad sales sounds like selling.
Bad marketing looks like marketing.
Bad copy looks like bad copy.
Good marketing, sales, and copy only do one thing: it gets you to buy.
When you hear people say that they hate marketing and sales, what they really mean is they hate bad marketing and sales because every other time that you buy it still happened.
It was just good.
