In 1978, Liam Hinphey was spending the week in Kilkenny during the run up to the All Ireland Final.

After watching them train before they went into battle with Cork later that week Liam hitched a lift to Dublin with the Kilkenny secretary Paddy Grace.

Congratulations to our boys hurling team who won the Ulster Primary Schools Championship today at Meadowbank Arena!

The Dernaflaw boys were a cut above, winning all 7 matches in convincing fashion to take home the schools 1st ever Ulster Trophy🌳🌳🏆🏆

Our Minor & u20 county players along with Ryan u20 manager & Eoghan, u17 coach. A great weekend for Derry hurling & now the u20’s play in the Leinster championship while the u17 start their Celtic challenge campaign.
