I’ve had Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as one of my top, top head coaching candidates this entire cycle.

Lemme tell you why:

1. When Sam Darnold signed with the Seahawks, the common reaction was: “He just won’t be the same without Kevin O’Connell.”

2. Well, if memory serves, Darnold produced the exact same 14-3 record, back to back years

3. Kubiak helped Darnold look as sharp
as last year, and most importantly, he got over ‘Seeing Ghosts’ in big games in a huge, late division win over the Rams

4. Kubiak’s usage of Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been INCREDIBLE - it’s near-impossible to scheme someone open that much when the opposing team KNOWS it’s always going to him

5. I like Kubiak’s rushing schemes and the way he worked to keep Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet fresh all season, he split the workload very nicely

6. Something people don’t realize: Kubiak was the Saints offensive coordinator last year and they had the #1 Offense in the league after the first couple games, while Derek Carr was healthy and all his weapons were healthy (then they all got injured)

7. Klint’s dad, Gary, was a great coach in this league

8. Klint’s brother, Klay, is a strong offensive coordinator for the 49ers

Klint Kubiak has the background, the pedigree and the cutting-edge schemes…

He needs to be the next Head Coach of the Buffalo Bills.

I'm sure McDermott had a say in player selection and drafting. And developing players that your given into Pro Bowlers is also part of coaching. That said... if you're firing McDermott, you have to fire Beane.
