River cartwright auditions for James bond after a disappointing career as an MI5 agent. Sources say his colleagues worked hard to get him an audition so they can finally be rid of him at Slough House.
Inasmuch as this is a terrible gesture that should be punished, the reason why this outrage against Argentina is so much is because people don't like them. If they were the preferred team, most people wouldn't be this outraged.
How do I know? Because last year when the more hated team won the Club World Cup and the losers got violent, many people didn't have a problem with it. Luis Enrique and other PSG players attacked and slapped Chelsea players, especially Joao Pedro, and most "neutral" fans said nothing.
Just goes to show that what we find morally repugnant isn't purely a matter of principle. Emotions play a far bigger role in moral outrage than we think. 🤷🏾♂️
10 - Including two today, Lionel Messi now has 12 assists in FIFA World Cup matches, 10 of which have come in knockout rounds. No other player on record (from 1966) has more than eight in total at the finals.
Difference.
We lost Norbert Tizikara on 10th July 2022. Exactly 4 years later, another accident involving @RailwaysUganda and a school bus, takes ANOTHER life. One would say don't cross a rail on 10th July, but there's dereliction of duty somewhere and it's not ONLY the public to blame
Prof. Paul George D’Arbela: The secret to diagnosing the patient we examined was in asking the right questions, not in ordering expensive tests.

This is very irresponsible. What happens to the employees of those institutions? What happens to the suppliers?
If preachers can’t speak against these things then they are spineless and complacent.
The economy is performing poorly and people are already struggling, and then you add more burdens to them?
That’s the problem of having power without the experience of life.
You don’t understand that without a job, a person is going to struggle to pay their rent, school fees for their children and take care of their retired parents.
Uganda, where are your leaders?
We need to applaud our leaders when they get it right. So Thank you Your Grace! Btw, WHY CAN'T GOVERNMENT PAY ITS INTERN DOCTORS? I have been trying to understand it clearly: Why can't Government find money to pay a few thousand intern doctors? WHAT IS THE LOGIC? Because it is not the money as the Archbishop correctly points out. If you have Shs 200bn to spend on cars for People, many, who even FAILED THE ARTS you are refusing to pay for now, how can you FAIL TO FIND just Shs 28bn for 2000 INTERN DOCTORS?
WHAT IS THE LOGIC? Refusing to pay ARTS TEACHERS and you Pay SCIENCE TEACHERS MORE, produce the SCIENTISTS AT THE UNIVERSITY, then refuse to pay THESE SCIENTISTS, BUT INSTEAD PAY THE ARTISTS, even HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUTS(MPs) with Shs200bn FREE CARS? BTW, WHY DO WE GIVE FREE CARS TO MPs WHO EARN SHS 50 MILLION PER MONTH? WE WHO STRUGGLED WITH BLOOD AND SWEAT, AND THOUSANDS DIED TO BRING ABOUT THAT PARLIAMENT; THEY DON'T BUY CARS FOR US; AND WE DON'T DEMAND! We buy our own Cars. And those who can't, THEY USE TAXIS! So what is it with these POLITICAL FREELOADERS?
Here is my take: Either the People in charge are SUBVERSIVE; ie, silent enemies of the State, or they are extremely ignorant and incompetent! So, which is which? The GOVERNMENT has placed SCIENCE STUDY at the centre of the EDUCATION SYSTEM. I hear the President drumming it up daily. They even increased Salaries of Science teachers tenfold, and abandoned Arts teachers, etc. And in this endeavour, many young people are taking Science subjects: Medicine; Engineering; Food Science; AI, Environmental Science, etc.
Take THESE INTERNS/Doctors. The biggest field, perhaps second to ARITIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE(AI) today is BIOTECHNOLOGY AND PHARMACOLOGY. There is so much going on in these areas which deal with the application of BIOLOGICAL SYSTEMS AND ORGANISMS to make and use things like VACCINES, GENE THERAPY,etc, which are central in the quest for DISEASE ERADICATION. The Bridging of the gap between LABORATORY RESEARCH and PATIENT CARE is now the bedrock of GLOBAL HEALTH CARE SYSTEMS. So why would government not support people who are key in such fields; i ask again, WHAT IS THE LOGIC?
Thanks to all non medical institutions, tweeps and activists for joining the medical interns' plea.
It's the Uganda we believe in, where we all feel each others pain, even when it benefits you or doesn't.
There's a silver lining after all.🙏🙏🙏
June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month.
Today or this week, call a man in your life and ask:
"How are you really doing?"
Listen without judgement. Men need support too.

Before we went on strike, I’d worked 6 months without pay. Many a day of which, I worked past 48 hour non stop shifts.
We were told no striking intern would be signed off for completion. We returned and most completed without being paid.
I was the single intern for the surgical unit, so I covered surgical procedures both day and night cases, the accident and emergency unit as well as review clinics.
I saw my supervisor once in the three months I was posted to surgical services.
There was no senior doctor.
Deciding not pay interns , means upcountry and referral hospitals are at risk of not being professionally covered .
Please pay Medical Interns .
A similar story, it was a Friday. Fridays used to be the busiest because even health center 4s, the doctors go for weekends, so they could refer all patients to the regional referral where there's cheap labor (now free labor).
That night was so busy that time reached and I couldn't see the sutures I was using. You can't call your friends because they also have a marathon the next day.
Soroti regional referral hospital covers the whole of Eastern region (you can imagine) and some days could be so busy that you start feeling the earth rotating under you.
Diabetes and Hypertension clinic!!! Oh God, it could start at 7:00am, only 2 people and you run it till 8:00pm without having left even to pee.
Some of this might sound exaggerated and yes that's the extent of the work, it's even hard to believe for it's beyond hard labor.
I just can't wish medical internship on my worst enemy and let alone without allowances.
Imagine catching ebola and dying while working for free as a junior doctor. Can we at least exempt them from risking their lives when we have things like ebola around? I'm sure the ministry people will gladly take up the role.
