The Martingayle's close out day one in California with a pair of PRs in the 5,000 meters! Doria runs a 17:06.46, the sixth fastest in LSU history, and Jackson runs a 14:30.27!

LSU freshman Michaela Rose (Suffolk), pictured, and Doria Martingayle (Princess Anne HS) were victorious at the Joe May Invitational. Rose won the 400 hurdles in her debut in 57.62, which ranks No. 7 this season. Martingayle won the 1,500 meters in a personal-best time of 4:35.11

LSU junior Doria Martingayle (Princess Anne) placed 44th to help the Tigers place 4th at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships. Her brother, Jackson, pictured, was 42nd and teammate Garrett Hamilton (Grassfield) was 116th to help the men place 16th.

Boys Athlete of the Week is junior Will Griesmer. Will ran a PR of 16:34 to finish 4th overall at the Atlantic Coast Invitational.
