Jayden Varpness @JaydenVarpness answered the bell on the second night of a back-to-back with the kind of response that defines competitors, bouncing back with confidence, poise, and a fearless scoring mindset even in a tough 57–46 loss. One of The Incredibles, Jayden, never blinked, stepping into the moment and carrying the scoring load from the opening tip while the game demanded shot-making and toughness.

The three-point sniper reputation showed up early and often, raining in 5 triples and stretching the defense well beyond comfort, but this was far from a one-dimensional night. When defenders closed out hard, Jayden put it on the deck, created space off the bounce, and still found ways to get good looks or finish through traffic. He played with rhythm, never rushed, picking his spots and staying aggressive even as the game tightened. The confidence never wavered, and the ball kept finding his hands when DCA needed a spark.

Jayden finished with a team-high 20 points on 7-14 shooting, including a blistering 5-10 clip from deep, showing touch, balance, and trust in his work. He added 3 rebounds in 29 hard minutes, and stayed locked in despite constant pressure. The impact came from the willingness to keep attacking, to keep shooting with belief, and to keep competing possession after possession when nothing came easy.

This performance was about response. Second night of a back-to-back. Short turnaround in a tough environment, and Jayden came out ready to go, playing with confidence, edge, and a scorer’s mentality that never faded. Even in the loss, his ability to shoulder the offense, space the floor, and create shots off movement and off the bounce kept DCA fighting to the final horn.

Another Incredible stepped up when it mattered, and Jayden made it clear that when the moment calls for shot-making toughness and belief, he is more than ready to answer.

Kayla Varpness @KaylaVarpness put on a commanding performance last night, rising in every big moment to lead DCA to a gritty 61-55 home win over Nashville Christian in a game that demanded toughness, poise, and fearless shot making. She caught fire from deep with timely three-point shooting that stretched the defense, and when pressure mounted, she calmly delivered sweet dimes that kept the offense flowing and teammates confident.

Every possession felt under control with the ball in her hands, and her presence alone shifted momentum when it mattered most.

On the other end, Kayla set the tone with fierce defense, hounding ball handlers, jumping passing lanes, and turning stops into instant opportunities. She finished with 17 points, 8 assists, 1 rebound, and 3 steals, numbers that only begin to tell the story of her impact.

As a core piece of The Incredibles, she played with edge and confidence, stepping up in winning time and making the plays that decide games. This was a statement performance built on grit, awareness, and a relentless will to win, the kind that lifts everyone around her and fuels a home crowd from start to finish.
