Respectfully and completely disagree.

Simply increasing compensation rarely fixes misaligned incentives or poor behavior. It often entrenches the wrong people.

Paying Senators and Representatives $500k, the President $10M, or the Vice President $5M won’t eliminate corruption or attract better leaders. It will likely attract more career politicians who treat public office as a high paying, low accountability gig instead of a “temporary” service to the country.

Term limits, transparency, performance accountability, and more leaders with private-sector experience who understand how to deliver results under pressure should be the focus.
