Basing the regional definitions of New York State's various regions on county boundaries is nonsensical.

For example, far northern Oneida County is 100% a part of the "North Country" in a way that Utica is not.

I made this map years ago and it's the best map there is of NYS.

Fitting it's the most bland, lifeless graphic the Pens social media staff has ever published. Forcing this together is going to be like fitting a square peg in a round hole. Florida has signed anyone (aka the best available free agents) to an ECHL deal with little regard from above for years. Pittsburgh was able to shuttle guys all over the state of Pennsylvania in the early morning hours in any weather and have them in the lineup without needing a flight. I truly hope it blows up in the Hoffmann's faces in every way possible.
