Back around 2012 I was on a Bulls pregame phone call with our reporter that night and Stacey King grabbed the phone pretending to be Tom Thibodeau, ranting about our coverage of the team. Had me going for a good 30 seconds. Stacey did incredible impressions.
RIP. What a loss.

OFFICIAL: The Bulls will retire Derrick Rose's number during the 2025-26 NBA season. No other player will ever wear the number 1 for the Chicago Bulls.
Number 1 will always be from Chicago.

JJ Redick on the 3s and NBA ratings discourse, parity, talent in the game today vs yesterday, and people paying too much attention to what is said on Twitter
It's funny that he starts his answer with "I'll try to be brief here" and then speaks for 4 minutes
One more defensive note here and a drastic shift.
This season they are giving up 34.0 FGA/GM 6 feet and in (Last in NBA).
Last season they gave up 27.9 FGA/GM 6 feet and in (2nd in NBA).
Loss of Caruso/Drummond a factor.
The Bulls are 25 games into the season, time to dive in to some of the notable stats and things I've noticed from them, especially in comparison to last season.
(thread incoming)
For the Bulls defense:
24-25: 123.0 OPP PPG (29), 117.4 DEF RTG (27), 35.2 OPP 3P% (8), 48.6 OPP FG% (27)
23-24: 113.7 OPP PPG (16), 115.7 DEF RTG (22), 37.0 OPP 3P% (20), 47.3 OPP FG% (16)
OPP PPG way up (pace a factor here), but their 3P defense is greatly improved
One player on an individual level that needs to be recognized is Nikola Vucevic and the turnaround season he is having offensively.
24-25: 47.4 3P%. 3rd in NBA on 'Wide Open' 3s at 48.0 3P% (min 75 att)
23-24: 29.4 3P%. Last in NBA on 'Wide Open' 3s at 30.5 3P% (min 150 att)
A huge theme to last season's Bulls defense was giving up open and wide-open 3s.
Bulls Defense
24-25: 15.9 Open 3PA/GM (27), 20.2 Wide Open 3PA/GM (25)
23-24: 15.0 Open 3PA/GM (29), 20.0 Wide Open 3PA/GM (26)
Look more at league rank here vs raw 3PA. Slight improvement.
