GAMBLING, The Deadliest Cancer Amongst The Youths!

The govt is fighting alcohol in Kenya declaring it a menace that's eating the new generation; that can't be far from the truth. However, if we were to be honest, alcohol is just a tip of the iceberg. The deadliest cancer that is eating today's generations is gambling. It has affected both the young & the old, both male & female. Today if you switch on your radio you will puke blood, our media houses have turned into gambling dens.
This menace has transformed our people into zombies, our village folks no longer indulge in farming, all the do is play those silly games advertised on radio, the newest being that deadliest variant that was introduced to Kenyans called Aviator.
I'm sure most of you have been asking yourselves this same question; Why does the govt through BCLB allow such atrocities to happen in the society. The answer is simple, Most of these Radio stations & gambling sites are owned by the Elites who are in the political class either directly or indirectly.
The govt knows exactly what it is happen but can't put an end to it because it benefits them. This gambling menace was introduced to us as by the whites to boost neocolonialism that they've imposed on us since time immemorial.
It's so disheartening to see an elderly man or woman in their 70s on Tv receiving a cheque that they've won through gambling. Sometimes you wonder how did these shoshos & gukas even manage to deposit money to these gambling website leave alone placing a bet.
They even make it to the prime time news as they collect their cheques for as little as 50k & you wonder is it really necessary! They do this in order to entice the public to board the train to Make Me Rich Quick destination as they extort money from the old vulnerable folks.!! Yes, am Talking about Citizen Tv with that Shabiki Nonsense.
Some of these Radio station have trained a group of people whom they pay to masquerade as winners, it is a well orchestrated con game. Radio Citizen, Radio Maisha, Milele Fm, Radio 47, Kameme Fm, Inoro Fm, just to name a few. You need to educate your village folks about these Radio stations that are part & parcel of this con game.
It's so sad that both the Youths & the old of today have sank into this gambling addiction, it's the number one cause of depression which leads to alcohol addiction & suicide.
Our generation is so keen on microwave success to please others on social media, the Youths are focusing much on the product and never on the process.
Dear young blood, Keep pushing, your day of reckoning will come, chase your purpose jealously. Don't lose sleep because your peers are driving posh cars and running 'successful' businesses. Some of them have been bequeathed wealth by their parents who are politicians or senior government officials.
Some are eating the fruits of their labor by working hard & doing honest hustles, they never indulged in that gambling nonsense that you think will make you rich without toiling.
Focus on your modest journey & Trust the process. Don't rush to shortcuts due to societal pressure. Wealth is not created overnight, it takes years of hard work and consistency. Build your own empires from scratch & face the world by the thorns.

After 12 cold ones for the road, we called it a night. Since my boy anaishi Kilimani, he insisted i should go & spend the night at his place juu Greatwall ni mbali.
Kuangalia saa ni saa nane usiku, I had to give in to his request since it will be unreasonable for me kuamsha mama liam that wee hours anifungulie mlango.
We proceeded to Saimo's place, kufika huko tukapata mambo imechemka. Saimo kubisha mlango akaambiwa arudi mahali ametoka, akajaribu kuteta nikaskia bibi yake ameshout "Kama unaona wewe ni mwanaume na nusu, jaribu kufinya hiyo kengele tena". Saimo akaingia maji akaniambia tuishie tu hataki Mambo mingi.

Kelvin Kiptum struggled to get a place in the marathon world. Despite Eliud Kipchoge being aware of his ability to compete with him in the same league, he was amongst the people who orchestrated his downfall together with AK elites. At one point Kiptum was set to change his nationality to The Great Britain after a coach spotted him & noticed his struggles at a camp in Chepkorio despite his ability to move mountains. Gervais Hakizimana came to his rescue before he could move to Britain & became his coach who would later on help him secure a place at the international stage. Kelvin Kiptum is undisputably the Greatest Marathoner of All Time & Kipchoge was scared of the young blood in the game. Without the help of pacesetter & special improvised sneakers, Kiptum was Brutally going to show Eliud the true meaning of No Human Is Limited. Kelvin Kiptum story is the exact reality of what young upcoming athletes goes through under the hands of gatekeepers. One might think that it's only Kenya Army & Police recruitment where one has to pay hefty to get a place, the corruption in Athletic Kenya surpasses all of them. You have to oil the hands💰 of Athletics Kenya official for you to get a place at the field, leaving those who are hungry to succeed behind, mind you one is highly motivated by the poverty back at home. This is one of the reasons why we are witnessing some of our great Athletes moving towards our neighboring country Uganda where they're warmly welcomed, accorded VVIP treatment & awarded heavily; also their hard earned money is not taxed. It's only in Athletics Kenya where officials sleep at 5-star hotels while our athletes sleep on the floor at the airport hours before they compete. Those who can't afford to bribe their way to the field like Kelvin Kiptum, their position is occupied by the official's girlfriends & relatives. It's only a matter of When not If, before Kenya loses its place at the Hall of Fame as far as Athletics is concerned. It's almost 5 months since Kelvin Kiptum broke the World Record & Eliud Kipchoge has never even bothered to recognize or congratulate him leave alone mentoring him. But one day that Fraud will be exposed & I'll be here Inshallah to remind y'all of this day. It's hard to accept that Kelvin Kiptum is no longer with us, but his spirit will forever be with us. Another true Son of the soil will rise again, son of a Peasant like Kiptum & we will be there to witness the unpacking of a legacy built from Hate, Deceit, Gatekeeping & Jealousy influenced by worn-out athletes. Rest In Peace the Real G.O.A.T Kelvin Kiptum.🕊️
