Those diagonal lines are supposed to be equidistant from each other. There's still a tiny bit of "play" in the pen mechanism that's very evident with parallel lines when it pushes the pen vs pulls it.
I guess this is something you don't have to worry about with an axidraw?
@clefts@PlotterTweeter I don't have to remove any of the paths, these drawings are made up of a grid of square tiles that have connecting or non connecting sides. When determining what tile to place in a position - you check its bordering tiles for constraints. Its called Truchet Tiling!
