First they got in just prior to Sky TV boom, then they landed on Pochettino (wasn't first choice) and he then progressed the likes of Dele, Kane etc. Without those highlights their tenure has been a complete failure. Apathy for a semi final.

Everything has turned a bit shit hasn’t it, the form is shocking, more losses than anyone can really remember and more injuries than a cheese rolling team, the fears about the summer window have all become reality, the fanbase are protesting about many things, the atmosphere groups have walked away with no effort from the club to change that, and worst of all the fans seem apathetic about Tottenham. Apathetic about a semi final. 😞

This has got me thinking, brace yourselves;

Are we still just little old Tottenham? Do we still just have a core of only 30,000 fans, and once you strip away the stadium, the revenue, the draw of the “Premier League” and we play a bit shit, we’re just left with the core that we had at WHL? Are fans walking away? Are many of the fans that got season tickets from Wembley onwards just not as engaged? (Not all before I offend anyone).

What’s going on?

Something very worrying is happening at our club at the minute, I’m really worried that we are witnessing a fanbase on life support who, after many many years of being taken for granted and ignored, are finally asking themselves tough questions.

In just five days, we’ve seen troubling signs: the Cat A Newcastle game flooded ticket exchange with away fans in home areas, and now the Liverpool semi-final reaching guest sale—both unprecedented. The atmosphere continues to decline, with transient, disconnected fans filling the ground, and the club seemingly indifferent to improving the experience for regular supporters or the team, just racing to secure corporate deals (like the pink onesie fiasco), leaving many feeling abandoned in favor of cash-rich, casual fans.

With our plans for singing sections at these games, ROTS + @SpursSongSheet felt that we had literally rounded the keeper and squared it for the club to tap in. Demand is low so there’s space for a section, we have 1,600 members ready, we have proof that our small section makes a difference, and we mapped out a realistic processes for the club to help us to create a really great atmosphere at all cup games, a really positive PR exercise just when the club needed it. Sadly they didn’t back us in a way that would allow it to be a success and after near 2 years of lobbying since our last test, and 4 years in total, the club admitted that they would never do what it takes to improve the atmosphere. We are gutted, confused and feel betrayed, we walked. The club are probably relieved.

So maybe none of this should come as a surprise to any of us, maybe this day has been coming for a long time and nothing has been done to prevent it. Maybe we are witnessing the death of a fanbase.

You can’t help people that can hear but don’t listen, something has to change or our fanbase will disappear.

All things considered with injuries/illness/suspension and refereeing decision, today wasn’t a bad performance. Lucas Bergvall is an absolute player aswell btw
