At my hospital when I was in the trauma service under PM&R for MVAs/TBIs, I frequently requested spiritual consults. About half of the pts were uninsured with Spanish speaking families who prayed constantly. Osteopaths inherently understand the mind, body, and spirit of health.🧵

There's a crummy tweet going around about why chaplains have to chart notes about standing around praying outside the room. I have a few things to say about that. First: if you work with a chaplain and think their job is to stand around and pray, please ask them what they do.

A chaplain came to me, and gave me a short book about "The Loving Father" by Luke 15:11-32. I was the older brother. Her kindness got me through that stay, and inspired me to finish my covid book chapters for PPE and Rehabilitation/OMT covid strategies.
