Delay Flare Slip

5-Out Delay action for Anthony Davis, Will Riley sets the flare and slips when he notices Ausar playing the top-side of the switch. #forthedistrict

Looks like the Wizards were gonna run their Iverson Empty set for AJ before Sarr got that moving screen.

Gonna be some growing pains with the offense early on

[Kev @KevsFilmRoom]

What a ridiculous pass by Trae Young man. #forthedistrict

[Kev @KevsFilmRoom]

Versatility of having both Sarr and Davis on the court, they can both play the roller or dunker spot. Empty PNR with Trae and Sarr, Davis gets the easy lob with Reed tagging Sarr on the roll.

[Kev @KevsFilmRoom]

@GregFinberg They had AD on Ausar mainly and AJ on Collins in that first stint, looks like they wanna use AD as a roamer around the basket.

[Kev @KevsFilmRoom]

Ron Holland just checked in and now Anthony Davis is guarding him. Its clear they wanna keep AD around the basket roaming

[Kev @KevsFilmRoom]

Anthony Davis guarding Ausar Thompson, he guarded Josh Hart in the first game against the Knicks. Looks like they'll use AD as the roamer on defense on the weaker shooters.

Sarr and Davis are going to get plenty of offensive rebound opportunities with this double big look #wizards #forthedistrict

[Kev @KevsFilmRoom]

@Wiz_Weekly I’m not too opposed to AD mid post isos but for me the bigger problem was the stagnation during some of those possessions. Everyone just standing around with no action to manipulate the weak/help side, makes it a lot easier to defend/predict.

Posted a more in depth breakdown of this possession below! #wizards #forthedistrict

Stagger Ghost Slip

Really nice stagger setup into a ghost and slip. Tre Johnson ghosts, then Dybantsa slips. Hart drops to tag Dybantsa but leaves a deadly shooter in Tre wide open for the 3. #wizards #forthedistrict

Horns Out Split

Obviously AD will play a lot of 4, but I'm intrigued at the lineups with him at the 5 where he can maximize his playmaking for cutters by pulling the big out the paint. #wizards #forthedistrict

[Washington Wizards @WashWizards]

.@AntDavis23 hooped.

Strong showing from the main rotation tonight, offense is clearly get the ball in your best playmakers' hands and let them make reads in space. A lot of double drags and staggers to setup early offense. #wizards

Zipper Iverson Empty

Zipper entry followed by a Dybantsa iverson cut. Empty side for him to attack, he rejects the screen and look at all the Knicks defenders helping and it still doesn't matter. Special talent. #wizards #forthedistrict

[Kev @KevsFilmRoom]

The semi exit screen on the weakside occupies the weakside help defenders on the Dybantsa slip which forces Hart to tag.

Double drag with AD and Ayton, with Brunson on Kyshawn the Wizards space him to the weakside corner knowing he has no chance as the low-man help on Ayton.

[SleeperWizards @SleeperWizards]

Trae Young NO LOOK inside to Ayton 😮‍💨

[Kev @KevsFilmRoom]

Wizards using a lot of double drag and stagger actions offensively. Probably will see a lot of this with the double big lineups. #wizards #forthedistrict

[Kev @KevsFilmRoom]

Stagger setup for Kyshawn, Shamet top locks him so he cuts back door. Nice pass by Dybantsa for the lob. #wizards #forthedistrict

[Kev @KevsFilmRoom]

Gut Stagger Step

Beautiful ATO, Trae Young gets this double stagger from the middle of the floor, Ayton sets the step-up screen to free Trae for this one-legged three. #wizards #forthedistrict
