@sondesix Sony now, whoever is building the smallest phone with a telephoto lens next. Currently, that'd be Samsung (S23), but it may become Google (Pixel 8).
I won't touch anything from Apple with a ten-foot pole.
@kid1ng@dtinth It's frankly a bit disconcerting that this works on devices with an LCD screen, because this means that the backlight doesn't actually dim down to save power when brightness is set to <100%.
@Vegabond85@ModernVintageG@YongYea The divider has to be a whole number; if it isn't, you get either
- tearing (if VSync is off), or
- judder (if VSync is on).
Choose your poison.
@CyberBard98@ModernVintageG@YongYea 50 vs. 60 was very much a thing back in the day when devices had to adhere to the local country's TV standard - in other words, everything until the PS2 generation.
HDTVs, however, always supported 60 Hz, even in 50 Hz countries, so nobody bothered with 50 fps since the PS3 gen.
So, unless @TwitterSupport can help me, or somebody points me to the form where I can indeed appeal suspension of an app (*not* an entire account!), I won't be able to access Twitter any longer :(
The day has come - I have to leave this platform :(
Yesterday, Twitter "suspended" my custom app that I use to read Twitter, because it "violated Twitter Rules and policies" (without saying which ones specifically, and I also don't see any that would apply).
I'd love to appeal the suspension, or get support and fix whatever issue there might be, but I can't.
The "submit a support ticket" option is a dead link.
I can't appeal a locked or suspended account, because my account isn't suspended. It won't even let me fill out the form.
@dosnostalgic Vista wasn't really bad per se, it was just unrefined. 7 and 10 are so popular because they brought the new stuff that has been introduced by their predecessor versions (Vista and 8.x, respectively) into a shape where it was nice to use. And the required drivers matured by then.
@AnythingAnyth19@dosnostalgic Not true. 64-bit Windows, regardless of version, stopped supporting DOS and 16-bit Windows programs.
Windows XP 64-bit can't run 16-bit stuff; Windows 10 32-bit can.
@66mhzBrain@jamesfmackenzie Why "I wish"? A Rage 128 is supposed to be at least as fast as a Voodoo 3, with more features to boot (higher-res textures, proper 32-bit rendering).
@ModernVintageG Not a particularily hot take, if you ask me. That the Ally doesn't even have touchpad(s) makes me wonder how this thing is supposed to be used at all.
