I’ve sat thinking on this for weeks since evrything was announced. Its puzzled me, especially seeing as Destiny 2 hit number 1 seller on Steam last week, and showing up all over the gaming community. However, if Sony really just has a hard on to kill everything from the Jim Ryan era, then I’m concerned about Destiny/Marathon servers a year out from now.
This stopped looking like a business decision a while ago. Destiny is profitable. Bungie is valuable. Walking away from both isn’t the market talking — it’s Sony choosing to burn down an era rather than admit any part of it worked.
@LukeCB14 This makes me more mad than it probably should, but damn I had to EARN that shit kinda feels like I’m being cheated that you can just go and get it in pantheon. Idk
@A_dmg04 Having all of my favorite gun dropping from years past makes me so happy! Just the feeling of the grind has improved so much everything is familiar but feels new!
I am… exhausted. In the best of ways.
Thank you again for showing up for launch. Excited to see more join through the week.
Signing off for the day. Time to play.
See you out there.
MoistCr1TiKaL shares his thoughts on the end of The Final Shape, saying he finds it "silly" that Bungie chose not to immediately start work on Destiny 3.
