@Bybit_Official 7/7Let’s Build Together
Bybit’s story is a chance to grow—multisig + maker-checker could be bulletproof. this is not anything new but just something that we do on daily basis for other crypto funds, when we are assist with safekeeping on the fund's digital assets.
@Bybit_Official 5/7
Why It Helps
Hackers hate this: fake UI won’t just simply match “50 ETH” in the email—signers catch it. Plus, they’d need to hack the maker’s email too. More barriers, tougher job for them.
@Bybit_Official 4/7
How It Could Look
Maker emails: “Moving 50 ETH to 0xABC, hash 0x123…” Signers check Safe—UI matches email? Sign. No match? Pause. Takes 5 mins, adds a safety net beyond the UI. Again, if the Signor never spot any Maker's email but just a masked UI, they probably wont sign.
@Bybit_Official 3/7
The Idea: Maker-Checker
Split it up: a “maker” drafts the tx (e.g., “50 ETH to 0xABC”) and shares it. “Checkers” (signers) verify before signing. A simple way to match intent with action!

How Multisig Works Now
Cold wallets like Bybit’s need x out of 5 execs to sign off via Safe. It’s smart—no single failure point. But a fake UI slipped through on a “routine transfer.” Could we improve? (inspired by traditional fund ops model)
@Bybit_Official 6/7
Fits the Flow
Teams already queue txs and sign. A maker-checker email adds clarity. Execs stay sharp with a “here’s the plan” note. Safety that fits without slowing things down.
