Good News! The #molecularcloning my #undergraduateresearcher has been working on this summer has worked and she has successfully put together the parts for a new biosensor! (Hopefully once the biosensor is in cells it works... π)
This morning I wrote on my to do list "get gas". However, when I checked it right now I thought it said "get G(alpha)s" and I thought, "I'm not doing any #GPCR experiments right now...?"
@schmittwitt_ Curious how you are tracking common use plasmids - I've setup a database system but it is an imperfect work in progress, especially now that I'm using whole-plasmid sequencing and finding what a hot mess some of these plasmids are in...
Spent time #troubleshooting an assay with my technician @kevin_slye and made significant progress figuring out what was going wrong! And it felt good to be in the #lab again using my hands. Gotta keep the #pipetting skills sharp!
@aliciaandrz I hear this. Just finished my 3rd year and put in a lot of extra emotional energy (although I didn't fully realize it) Those few negative reviews brought the tears - and "knowing better" than taking them personally doesn't stop us from taking it personally!
