This week in my human behavior II class we had the opportunity to give care packages and snacks to different groups of homeless individuals in downtown Birmingham. It was a eye opening activity that created more insight on how to we can possibly end homelessness. #socworkUAB

In class we watched "Place Matter" video in which was a good documentary on how environment plays a significant role in physical health. Also, during the video we had the chance to find different community linkages .#SocWorkUAB

@alexis_rucker_ Place matter was very insightful. I would have never thought that your environment could affect your health in a significant way. However, I am glad that others
have stepped up to ensure that the younger generation has a healthier life.

Last week , I got the chance of acting as a professional Social Worker in a interprofessional team training. Along with other professional students from UAB. The training was to see how we all work together to reach the clients goals. #SocWorkUAB
