I recommend him and other fine scholars like him.
I do not recommend scholars who fight openly and dirty, who abuse one another and make a mess of the Ummah by spreading gossip, blackmailing and slandering their purported opponents.
With scholars like the Imām of Lekki Central Mosque, you will learn the pristine Islam, Sunnah, scholarship and modesty. May Allah bless and preserve him upon goodness. Āmīn.
"When we ask men to stop raping us, why is it that some of you men start talking about false rape accusations? Can't we do that on another day?"
The problem is that you Komodo dragons never talk about false rape accusers. You don't even care if the allegation is true or not. You hear rape and you go full throttle.
Gone are the days when rape accusations would be freely used as a weapon of bringing men down. You lots are wicked and heartless. If your rape claim has visible holes, be sure we'll look through those holes to find the truth.
@the_akinola She has every right to support any candidate of her choice. You or 10s of you can’t decide for her. You also can’t bully people to support your preferred candidate. I hope you free yourself from hate.
MAN’S IGNORANCE KILLED HIS WIFE, NOT FAITH
This story broke my heart because it is a tragedy that Islam itself came to prevent.
You remember the Hadith of the man with the head wound? He was on a journey, got injured, and then had a wet dream. His companions, out of rigid ignorance, told him he had no excuse and forced him to perform Ghusl with cold water. He washed, and he died.
When the news reached the Prophet (peace be upon him), he did not praise their "strictness." He exclaimed in anger:
"They killed him, may Allah kill them! Why did they not ask when they did not know? Indeed, the cure for ignorance is to ask." (Sunan Abi Dawud).
The Prophet called it killing. Why? Because they prioritized a ritual purity over a human life.
This husband who refused a male doctor in an emergency made the exact same mistake. He thought he was protecting his wife’s modesty (Haya), but in reality, he was violating the higher objective of the Shariah: the Preservation of Life (Hifz al-Nafs).
In Islamic Bioethics, there is a clear hierarchy we follow when seeking treatment in situation like this:
1. A Muslim Female Doctor (The ideal).
2. A Non-Muslim Female Doctor.
3. A Muslim Male Doctor.
4. A Non-Muslim Male Doctor.
You start at the top. But—and this is the critical part—if the top options are not available, you move down the list. You do not stop and choose death.
If a woman is bleeding out and the only hand available to save her is a male hand, that hand becomes Halal in that moment. The rule of Darurah (Necessity) overrides the rule of Awrah (nakedness).
To let your wife and twins die because you couldn't find a female doctor is not Ghayrah (protective jealousy); it is ignorance. It is a failure to understand that Allah does not want ease for us to turn into destruction.
Islam is not a suicide pact. It is a system of mercy.
Allah knows best.
