It’s a yes or no statement though. Ronaldo is closing in on 1,000 goals, has won trophies across different leagues and won 3 trophies with Portugal. But when you look at individual awards and overall G/A in fewer games, Messi has the edge. You can argue Ronaldo is the GOAT, but you can’t act like Messi doesn’t have a case.
