@YoungKingFavou @giddy_fx Mainoo doesn’t have a substitute. Mount is not reliable and he is not it. This is where Scott comes in. Like I said initially, we need depth. We are playing over 50 matched next season compared to the 42 we played this season. We need depth. Ederson/Fernandez, Mainoo/Scott

My point is, it depends on what profile the coach wants. Carrick wants ball playing midfielders who have work rate. These players can put in the work. I dont see any problem with them😂

@YoungKingFavou @giddy_fx Rice is a box to box, not a sitting DM, Zubemendi plays the 6. De jong, Neves and Vitinha are diff profile as Case, Rodri or Baleba who are all trad 6.
If it is tackle, Ederson, and Mateaus Fernandez all put in hard tackles as well. Scott and Mainoo are both central midfielders.

@YoungKingFavou @giddy_fx Arsenal just won the league with Zubemendi as the 6. PSG have Neves and Vitinha, while Barca have Pedri and De jong, who all do not fit your criteria for a “solid defensive midfield” profile. Teams don’t need a traditional ball winning midfielder anymore.

@YoungKingFavou @giddy_fx You guys are forgetting that we need depth. Mainoo is not going to play all the games in the season. He needs rest. Ederson, Alex Scott and Fernandes are going to provide options for the coach. So it doesnt hurt to have multiple players in the team
