🚨Mbappé Fires Warning to Yamal Ahead of France Clash
🗣️"Football isn't played with words or headlines—it's played on the pitch," Mbappé said. "Everyone is free to be confident, but sometimes it's better to stay quiet and let your football do the talking."
🗣️"We've heard what has been said, and we respect every opponent. But France is ready. We know what's at stake, and we're coming with determination. Yamal is a fantastic young player, but he'll discover that facing France is a completely different challenge."
Mbappé concluded with a strong message ahead of the semifinal.
🗣️"Tell Spain to get ready. Tell Yamal to get ready. The force of France is coming, and we'll settle everything where it matters most—on the football pitch."
🚨Jamie Carragher on Senne Lammens’ mistake leading to Mikel Merino’s winner for Spain against Belgium at the FIFA World Cup:
🗣️ “Now we see why Manchester United conceded so many goals last season. Belgium looked solid and organised with Thibaut Courtois in goal. He gave the defenders confidence, controlled his area and looked like one of the best goalkeepers in the world, as he has done for years.
Then Courtois goes off injured and Senne Lammens comes on. I’m not saying he’s a bad goalkeeper because he’s clearly talented, but replacing one of the best goalkeepers in world football in a World Cup knockout game demands the highest level of quality. Unfortunately, he couldn’t provide it.
The mistake completely changed the game. At this level you don’t get second chances. Merino stayed alert, punished the error and suddenly Belgium were going home.
I’ve heard people say Lammens is better than André Onana. After watching tonight, I honestly don’t see the difference. When the pressure reaches its highest point, both have shown they can make mistakes that completely change the outcome of a match. That’s the reality of top-level football.
Goalkeepers are judged differently from everyone else. A striker can miss three chances and still score the winner. A goalkeeper makes one mistake and it’s remembered for years. That’s the position you’ve chosen, and you have to live with that responsibility.
I do feel for Lammens because coming on for Courtois is one of the hardest jobs in football. But Manchester United supporters watching tonight won’t be encouraged if they’re looking at him as the long-term answer. Potential is one thing—delivering under the biggest pressure is another. Spain punished the mistake, and that’s exactly what the best teams d
Lamine Yamal has been unbeaten against mbappe for the long run without a win from the French man.
Would the story stay the same or would it change, with the current form of France 🇫🇷 in the World Cup?
