Abdul-Maalik, since the time I moved to the community, was always a face I associated with @GtownMasjid. A brother that anyone from the community will tell you was always volunteering in whatever capacity he was available at the expense of his time and sleep.

We’re definitely sad at his death but have good thoughts of his last actions, closing up the masjid after lesson and then waking up in the morning for fajr making wudhu

Conclusive Proof Silences Claims Without Evidence, Even from Scholars

Shaykh al-ʿAllāmah Rabīʿ ibn Hādī al-Madkhalī (رحمه الله) said:

“So burhān (conclusive proof) silences thousands of those whose hands are empty [of proofs], even if they are scholars.

So these are principles [of jarḥ wa-taʿdīl and judging disputes by evidence] that must be known, and you must review the books of the sciences of ḥadīth, especially the more expansive ones [among them], such as Tadrīb al-Rāwī, and Fatḥ al-Mughīth by al-Sakhāwī, the explanation of the Alfiyyah of al-ʿIrāqī.

These are self-evident matters with the people of knowledge. Therefore, disputing over them and speaking about them with falsehood is not permissible, because it corrupts the Islamic sciences and destroys the principles [of these sciences], and so on from such methods [of false disputation].

So it is not permissible for a Muslim to present to the people anything except the truth, and he must keep away from talbīs (making falsehood resemble the truth) and taḥayyul (resorting to deceptive stratagems).”
