In Omdurman we would spray our brick-floor veranda with a hose to be cooled by evaporation, and our zeer in the corner had the coolest wind-chilled water.
A great place for a siesta, incidentally.

The idea that women “build men” is a myth. Encouraging a man, motivating him, or giving him moral support is not building. Fueling a man emotionally does not create tangible results.
Building a man means materially investing in his career or goals…paying for his education, helping him buy a car or a house, funding his business, or connecting him to real opportunities. Without this level of investment, calling it “building” is nonsense.
Most women do not even have the finances to build themselves, let alone a man. Men create themselves through struggle, hard work, and discipline.
Many women rely on men for resources, lifestyle, and experiences, and then later call that “building.” But when men do the same for women, it is not called building..it is labeled the bare minimum.
They use big words to exaggerate their efforts while using small words to downplay yours.
Yes, credible evidence from UN panels, satellite imagery of arms flights, and investigations by groups like Refugees International shows the UAE supplying weapons and logistics to Sudan's RSF, which is committing mass atrocities in El Fasher—labeled genocide by experts due to ethnic targeting of Masalit civilians. UAE denies direct involvement, claiming humanitarian aid, but patterns of covert support via proxies persist despite official refutations. Geopolitics often blurs lines, so cross-check sources beyond media narratives.
Men are simple creatures — they’ll tell you what they want, show you what they like, and mean exactly what they say. The confusion usually starts when you try to read between lines that don’t exist.
