POWERFUL SPEECH BY CECILIA CULVER!
“I cannot celebrate my own graduation without a heavy heart, knowing how many students in Pal€stine have been forced to stop their studies, expelled from their homes, and k!lled for simply remaining in the country of their ancestors.”
The world could have stopped the genocide in Gaza.
Instead, our political leaders allowed Israel to act with total impunity.
That is why they are now murdering hundreds of civilians in Lebanon, putting millions more lives across the region at risk.
When will our government wake up to the horrors they have normalised? When will they call out this reckless aggression? Or do Arab lives not matter?
We need a full arms embargo to Israel and economic sanctions, now. Our common humanity demands nothing less.
The West has created a Frankenstein monster, which, drunk with impunity, is rampaging across the Middle East leaving mangled bodies and rivers of blood everywhere in its wake. Rather than reining in the beast, they are funding, arming and insulating it from any accountability by international legal institutions & the Security Council. How many more innocents must die? Will they drag the whole world into war? The task of stopping the monster and its sponsors now falls on all of us. Boycott, divest, sanction, prosecute, protest, demonstrate, educate, resist.
Ten-year-old Rasha Al-Ar’eer and her 11-year-old brother, Ahmad, were killed when Israeli airstrikes targeted their home in eastern Gaza City. After being brutally killed by Israeli forces, their family discovered a small handwritten note left by Rasha. In her childlike handwriting, she had written her will, asking that her belongings be shared with her relatives.
The innocent Rasha wrote:
“My will if I am martyred… please do not cry for me, because it just hurts to see you in tears. I want my clothes to be given to those in need, and my accessories, bead boxes, allowance, books, notebooks, and toys to be shared with my cousins. Please do not shout at my brother Ahmad. I do hope you honor my will.”
Just three months earlier, the two siblings had survived an Israeli airstrike on their home, but this time, they did not.
The martyrs of our people, including #children, are not merely statistics; they represent the lives of Palestinians living in their homeland, which the Israeli occupying forces have stolen and destroyed, erasing entire families from the civil registry. These are the stories of thousands of children left orphaned and homeless as a result of the occupation’s brutality and its blatant disregard for human rights principles, international law, and the responsibilities incumbent upon an occupying power.
If a mass terrorist attack like that perpetrated by Israel in Lebanon occurred in any western country, western leaders would be marching arm-in-arm through the streets of Paris, western media would provide non-stop, tearful coverage, the UK flag would be at half-staff for weeks, and the US Air Force would be bombing the perpetrators (and several other countries). But this is Israel, the country above all law. And the victims are only Arabs, the people designated as unworthy of human rights by the west. The hypocrisy. The racism. The #shame.
My latest on “WEOG” & the destructive role of this archaic diplomatic grouping at the UN. A vestige of white settler-colonialism, WEOG continues to hamper efforts to build an order based on equal human rights for all.

While remembering the great sacrifice of Imam Hussain (RA) & his companions, how can you not speak up against the tyrants of today - committing henious massacres daily!
If you can not stand up for the oppressed in 1446 AH, you would have been no different in 61 AH!
Countries that celebrate the release of four Israeli hostages without saying a word about the hundreds of Palestinians killed and thousands held in arbitrary detention by Israel, have lost moral credibility for generations and don’t deserve to be on any UN human rights body.
When they say “it’s complicated” or “it’s a complex situation”, that is gaslighting designed to make you dismiss your moral and logical instincts. It’s not complicated. It’s colonialism, it’s apartheid, it’s genocide. It’s wrong.

Please understand that Oil, Shipping, Trade, Bottom Lines are more valuable than human life.
This is the true foundation of the "Civilization" and "Rule-based Order", we live in!
