This is how Indians are abusing the skilled worker visa system in NZ:
Advertisement for an Area Manager role with the requirements being:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work.
- OR Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Management, Commerce, or a related field.
Advertised pay rate? $23.95 per hour…
They’ll run the ad and provide evidence to the immigration office that they cannot fill the position.
Then they get the all clear to IMPORT someone from India under a “skilled worker” visa who will probably pay upwards of $10,000 for the position (illegal exploitation), which is well worth the money when you consider they only earn cents per hour back home.
Highly likely that any relevant degree or education certificate provided is also fraudulent and fake.
Now imagine this on a mass scale. That is how our current immigration system is operating. We don’t have a job shortage crisis we have a fraudulent immigration crisis.
@my_day0@jimmy_wales@writtenoff_mufc Then perhaps that is where the government should be spending the money, time and effort - educating the parents on how to control their children’s devices and usage time.
We have complained many times that the public is presented with a picture of climate science systematically biased towards alarmism. And it’s not just our anecdotal impression. Data from a new study from the U.S. National Bureau of Economic Research documents this bias.

Oh yes, I remember that Bond film where the villain decarbonized the auto industry, brought fast internet to everyone on the planet, and helped paralyzed people interact with the world again.
