@ForcesNews ๐ the @KhandaPoppy Project has been relaunched this year, alongside other faith poppy tributes like the cross/star of david etc Sikhs have the Khanda Poppy - a double edged sword a symbol of the Sikh faith
Ahead of Remembrance Day, I planted a stake in the @CommonsSpeaker Constituency Remembrance Garden.
I dedicated my stake to all the people from Birmingham, Edgbaston who served and scarified their lives for our freedom as well as the Royal Sikh Regiment WWI. #Lest we forget.
Hear the story of the late #WW2 veteran Darbara Singh Bhullar (who fought in Burma) & whose son Kamaljeet & other multifaith members of the community๐laid wreaths & @KhandaPoppy's at Glasgow's Remembrance Garden last year & since 2017:

Over 84,000 Sikhs died and many more injured during the Great Wars, the Khanda Poppy is a special tribute to them, as well remembering all those who fought and died for the freedoms we enjoy today #Sikh#Wewillrememberthem#remembrance
Grateful to Sardar Mandeep Singh and the team who have graciously handed over the Khanda Poppy Project to the @sikhmilitaryfdn All proceeds will go to supporting our aims of supporting Sikhs in the Armed Forces today, our veterans and to promote Sikh military history #sikh#poppy
