Remember: Making a megadungeon is fun and easy. It takes 2 or 3 Sundays of work. It is just a series of discrete tasks.

Create maps of 3-5 dungeons. This is just drawing squares.
Create paths between them.
Decide on the theme of each.
Populate them with interesting things.

The game has roguelike elements. Every session starts in town. The more heroes you retire, the busier town becomes and the more options you have for this session's delve.

fast travel is a terrible design cheat. either make the world smaller or consider travel an actual part of the game. open world games fail when the map is a mission selection menu.

Each Camp gives players a small list of actions they can perform to recover, scout, or set up their camp.

Each Path has a different talent that can be used while Camping, too.
